The CFMoto UForce 600 is an affordable ATV with plenty of towing and cargo capacity. The UForce has been on the market for a while, so you can choose between a brand new or a used UForce 600. The UForce is a mid-size utility ATV with a 580 cc engine which produces good performance. But what is the top speed of the CFMoto UForce 600?
The maximum speed of the CFMoto UForce is governed. The manufacturer claims that the CFMoto UForce 600 has a top speed of 37 mph (60 km/h), but the actual speed may vary depending on several factors.
I’ve gathered the numbers in this article from specs sheets and YouTube videos where the UForce is driven fast. We haven’t just collected theoretical data, we’ve also looked at how the UForce works in practice.
Additionally, we’ll give you 7 suggestions on how to ramp up your UForce and increase the top speed, so read on!

What Is The Top Speed Of The UForce 600?
The top speed of the UForce 600 is set by the manufacturer at 37-40 mph. However, the UForce 600 can drive much faster because the engine certainly has the capacity for this. There are owners who achieve top speeds of 50 mph.
This can be reach by removing the speed limiter and by making adjustments to the engine and engine-related parts. Later in this article, 6 of these adjustments are discussed.
In addition, the UForce has a standard tire size. If other tires are fitted ex. factory, the speedometer will not display the correct speed. This is really one thing you should check before you do your own speed test. If you want to measure the real speed, you will have to check the tire size (circumference) and reset it if necessary. The different in tyre size can give a speed deviation of up to 12%.
See the next video for a speed and noise test.
The Top Speed Of The UForce 600 In Compare To Other UForce Models.
The UForce 600 has a 580cc, liquid cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder, 4-valve engine which produces 40 horsepower. It is a decent engine which produces decent results. The top speed is factory set, but there are ways to increase the top speed by tweaking the engine and engine related parts.
UForce | Top Speed |
---|---|
600 | 37-40 mph (60 km/h) |
1000 | 50 mph (80 km/h) |
1000 XL | 50 mph (80 km/h) |
800 | 43 mph (72 km/h) |
500 | 45 mph (75 km/h) |
The manufacturer’s top speed may not always be accurate because of numerous things.
Top speeds may not be accurate because they are based on ideal conditions that may not always be present in real-world situations. Factors like wind resistance, terrain, and altitude can affect the vehicle’s top speed.

Furthermore, top speed may change depending on how many passengers and cargo the vehicle is carrying and how heavy they are.
Another thing that can affect the accuracy of the top speed listed is how it is measured. The numbers will not always be the same because manufacturers may use different ways to measure top speed. Some manufacturers may use a GPS to measure top speed, while others may use a speedometer.
How To Make Your UForce 600 Faster?
By ramping up the engine and engine related parts, the UForce 600 will definitely reach a higher top speed. However, keep in mind that the UTV is not designed for this, which can cause more wear and tear, resulting in more frequent maintenance.
If you still have a factory warranty on your UForce 600, I advise against ramping it up. Changing your CFMoto could void the warranty, meaning if you run into any major issues, you’ll likely have to pay for those yourself. So, first check your warranty before you make the alterations.
There are several ways to make the UForce 600 go faster, (but remember, this is at your own risk) including:

1. Cutting Unnecessary Weight
Consider using lightweight tires because they are more suitable for high-speed applications. The weight of your UForce affects its speed, so using big CFMoto UForce mud tires will slow it down. Smooth radial tires made for on-road riding are your best choice if you want to make your CFMoto UForce go faster on paved roads.
You can also decrease the weight of your UTV by storing less petrol in the gas tank. Additionally, you can increase the top speed of your UTV by removing any UForce extras you rarely use.
2. Tweaking The ECU
The UForce 600 is equipped with an Engine Control Unit (ECU). Various engine functions, such as fuel injection, ignition timing, and throttle response, are controlled by the ECU.
You can change the ECU settings to improve the top speed. Modifying the ECU settings may void the warranty and may not be legal in some areas. Also, any changes to the ECU should be done carefully and with the right knowledge and tools.
You can use a diagnostic tool to change the UForce 600s ECU settings. Using the diagnostic tool, you can connect to the ECU and change the settings, such as the fuel map and ignition timing, to make the engine run better.
See, for example, the website Main Street Cycle, they offer two options, you can send them the ECU or you can buy an ECU tuner and do it yourself.
Here are the general steps to modify the ECU settings:
- Obtain a diagnostic tool that is compatible with the CFMoto CForce 600s ECU.
- Connect the diagnostic tool to the vehicle’s ECU according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Use the diagnostic tool to access the ECU’s settings and modify the parameters related to fuel mapping, ignition timing, and other performance-related settings.
- Save the new settings to the ECU and test the vehicle’s performance to see the improvements.
3. Getting a Clutch Kit
You can also use an aftermarket clutch assembly to increase the top speed and acceleration of your UForce. The kit changes your RPM curve to make the most power possible, and the right upgrade will make you faster and more powerful. The clutch kit usually includes new springs and weights that modify the timing and speed of the clutches self-adjustment
Several variables affect the speed and point where it adapts. Clutch kits can be changed to fit different engine modifications, riding conditions, and riding styles.
Using a clutch kit can lead to the following gains:
- Increased top speed, torque, and power
- Better acceleration and throttle response
- Less power loss from paddle tires, mud tires, or larger dirt tires
- Less belt slippage and heat buildup, resulting in longer belt life
Many owners’ initial aftermarket improvements to their CFMoto UForce are clutch kits. They are so good that UForce owners put them above accessories like roofs, winches, and windshields. Manufacturers like Gilomen Innovations, High Lifter, RVS Performance, and SuperATV offer some of the best clutch replacement parts, rebuild kits, and upgrade kits.
4. Appropriate Size, Weight, and Pressure of Tires
If you want a faster acceleration and a higher top speed, consider upgrading to larger tires. The tires turn harder and go further every revolution of the wheel. Depending on the surface, tire pressure might also affect performance. Higher tire pressure is best when you ride on flat, firm surfaces, but lower tire pressure is better when you ride in sand or snow.
Large mud tire combinations and common wheels restrict your vehicle’s speed. Getting lightweight aluminum rims and high-performance tires will speed up your UForce. Pick the appropriate tire size for your work or hobby.
Factory Set Tyre Size Is Sometimes Not Accurate
It appears that the speed reading is incorrect on some UForce 600 ATVs. There are large differences in speed due to this. Although you may believe that you are driving very fast, there may be a deviation of 12%
This deviation is due to the tyre size (circumference), which is factory-set. The speed will be different if a different tire size is installed on your UForce 600. The speedometer displays a speed based on the tire circumferences.
You should watch the next video if you want to check which tyre size is factory set or if you intend to change the size. It explains step-by-step what to do.
5. Upgrading the Intake
Regular inspection and cleaning of your air filter is important. A dirty or blocked air filter will stop the air from getting to the engine. If the air filter blocks the airflow, the engine of your UForce will choke or smother while you are moving. An intake upgrade is the simplest way to improve your machine’s performance.
It increases the amount of air-fuel mixture that goes into the chamber, which makes the engine more powerful. Therefore, consider fitting a high-flow air filter to enhance engine airflow. K&N is a well-established and respected manufacturer of air filters for use in any power sports or automotive application. The starting price for K&N high-flow air filters is about $35.
6. Upgrading the Exhaust
Upgrading the exhaust system can make your UForce perform better. The engine can draw in more air because it can exhaust more. The modification works best when you use a high-flow air intake system. A performance slip-on exhaust is a great alternative if replacing the exhaust system from the headers down is not an option.
The slip-on muffler is the most commonly used method for exhaust replacement, as it provides a lighter alternative to the factory exhaust. Also, these systems have cores that can handle more exhaust flow rates than the stock systems, which are more baffled. The highest output is produced by a full-performance exhaust system, while a performance slip-on exhaust also makes more power than stock.
Since aftermarket exhaust systems can cause your vehicle to become more noisy, you should make sure the system you buy does not violate any local noise ordinances. The exhaust manufacturer should be able to provide you with the decibel measurement.
7. Big Bore Kit
Big bore kits increase the engine’s displacement by making the cylinder bore bigger and using bigger pistons. With most larger bore kits, you will need to replace the piston and cylinder with bigger ones. Thus, you are essentially expanding the cubic capacity of your engine. This enhancement goes with other upgrades, like cylinder porting and a performance cam well.
A big bore kit may improve performance a lot. Along with the top speed, the acceleration speed will increase. Because more air and fuel mixture flows into the combustion chamber, your UForce 600 will experience a substantial performance improvement. UForce big bore cylinder kits start around $1,000.
